I got the opportunity to shoot on the sidelines of the KU football game this past weekend. I shoot photos for the Lawrence CVB, and they were nice enough to get me a field pass. I'm a die-hard KU football fan, and this year has been so very sweet. Being #2 in the BCS and actually having a shot at the national title is, well, unbelievable. I felt a little amateur with my D200 and 70-200mm lens standing next to all the big-daddy Canon boys, but I managed to get a couple keepers for the day. One of my faves is the shot of ESPN sideline announcer Jack Arute having fun before he went live. KU won big, and the big showdown with Missouri is this weekend at Arrowhead. I'm predicting KU by 10.
