The USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships took place in Lawrence again this year. I had an assignment to shoot the Sunday morning event for the Lawrence CVB. I've shot many different sports - but never cycling. It was harder than I expected. Lucky for me, they go around the same course many times - so I got alot of chances to get it right. I was stoked that I got several sweet shots of the men's Division I winner as he crossed the finish line. The crowds were pushing to see the finish, but I leaned out and stuck the shots. It was a lot of fun.
